And so it was. Just a group of fans flooded the station and the station square, so we barely squeezed through the crowds of people and groups of police officers to leave the building. But even then, it would seem a mess, there was a German practicality and peace: young people attributes of their favorite clubs gathered in small groups and discussing something. Perhaps they realized that the police are ready at any moment ready to thwart any attempt to breach peace citizens. All staff are fully equipped and kept a sharp lookout for the fans.
Weather in Dresden on Sunday was extremely variable: we had to take off jackets and then carry them in their hands, because it was getting hot in the bright sun, the clouds passed over due to wrap up and lifted the wind. However, this does not in any way prevent the take a long walk around the city and visit the many interesting places.
On the way to the old town we pass through the area, which settled a little "flea market." Vendors placed their goods on trays and drum up customers. A look at what it was: antique dishes and books, a variety of souvenirs and jewelery. Here were to be found even everyday objects such as old irons, clocks and posters with images of popular artists 70s, 80s. Briefly detained on the area, follow the road to the historic center of Dresden. It must once again face the debris lying around on the road - apparently the scourge of the twenty-first century, not insured by any one city.
Historic buildings of the city, built in Baroque style, affect its grandeur and beauty. Close to each other are: Dresden castle residence, the Semper Opera, Frauenkirche, and numerous museums and monuments. Tourist sector of the economy is well developed everywhere you can buy souvenirs and take pictures with living statues or other colorful characters, a ride in a carriage or take a short walk along the Elbe.
On one of the buildings is the famous picture "Procession of Princes". It is the world's largest mural, made of porcelain. The work took more than 25,000 tiles! In the picture you can see the solemn procession of horse that represents the history of the board of the princely house of Wettin in Saxony for over a thousand years. During World War II mural little affected: in the 70's had to be replaced during the restoration of a total of 200 tiles, except it can not be called a miracle, considering what destruction the city suffered the bombing.
Visit the historical center, move to the embankment of the river. Here, too crowded, lots of street musicians who are ready day and night long to perform various works. We come to a large building - University of the Arts. Students of the summer, so everyone can see the exhibits located here. And there is something to see: custom graphics, amazing installation - all this leads to the conclusion that Dresden is considered one of the cultural centers of Germany. That there is only one bus, rather exhibit, previously the vehicle and has now become a local landmark.
In Dresden you can still hear more Russian language, than in Berlin. Even many street performers are obviously Slavic appearance and origin. Selecting the best places to take photos, I notice another couple rushed to the same place. Politely concede the first tourists to be photographed and they thank us, "Thank you": Neighbors come from the suburbs.
To get to the other side of the river, we had to go back: the second bridge Carolabrucke had not really known good configuration and go until he had twice as far. We crossed the water surface of the bridge Augustusbrucke, which offers amazing views of the beautiful south shore of the river Elbe. Especially beautiful here in the evening and at night when lights illuminate numerous. Unfortunately, spending the night in Dresden was not provided, so we had to limit ourselves to a day hike.
